Me neither, I guess I’ve bought the gossip. Perhaps there was an underlying humility to his public persona as one of the greatest drummers of all time that no one saw. I saw him several times on Johnny Carson in the 60’s. He stuck me as someone who was good and he knew it. But, he was good…. is there a problem with knowing it? 🙂
