I think that if God had given mortals the power to control weather they would have it roughly like the Hawaiian Islands, basically warm, slightly humid, rain in the mountains and occasional showers on the coasts more or less depending on which side of the island one lives. It’s a very agreeable climate and I can understand why sailors coming from more dismal European climates would seriously consider jumping ship and remaining in Hawaii.
